"A reputation-making release." Edwin McFee, Sunday Life

“Incredible vocals,” Taylor Johnson, BBC Introducing in NI

"The band’s true ace in the hole remains Sonja Sleator. In a genre crowded with vocalists who often lean on grit over melody, Sleator’s performance throughout the album is genuinely amazing." XSNoize

"As for the climactic number Driving Me, it’s a total banger, starting off slow and moody in a Pixies style before erupting in noisy explosions of angst on the choruses as Sonja vents her spleen at an unnamed waste of skin." David Roy, Irish News

Haunted Images

Haunted Images

Band · Co. Louth★ Founding member

Haunted Images are a three-piece alternative rock and emo band from County Louth. Influenced by artists such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Failure and Placebo, they create music that is both expansive and deeply personal through their unique blend of crushing guitars with atmospheric soundscapes and emotionally charged songwriting.

Following the successful release of singles ‘if you want’, ‘grey days’, ‘sometimes’ and the stunning ‘stay awake’, which caught the attention of Hot Press, Golden Plec, Genuine Irish, Pure M Zine, Independent.ie, Ragged Cast and Rock N Load, the band released its self titled album, Haunted Images in April 2025. This marks their largest and most realised body of work to date. An album that lyrically comes from a place of deep introspection and thematically addresses forgiveness in many different forms, an album that seeks to bring light to the impending darkness.

Following the success of their self-titled debut album, Haunted Images released two singles with, "I'll Come Around" and “Sleepless”. Showcasing a more refined and confident sound, the tracks combine powerful vocals, mammoth guitar tones and dynamic production while retaining the emotional core that defines the band's music.

‘Eloquent lyrics and ethereal vocals’ Independent.ie

With each release, Haunted Images continue to push their sound forward, combining towering riffs, cinematic textures and heartfelt lyricism into a distinctive voice that is rapidly gaining attention across Ireland's alternative music scene.

“Bloody hell. We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore.” -Kinda Grizzly, Start Track
