Privacy Policy

Who we are
Ceolaire (ceolaire.ie) is a community database of Irish music. For anything privacy-related, contact ceolaire.info@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details— your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text). Your email is never shown publicly and we don't use it for marketing.
- Your public profile — username, display name and bio, which are visible to everyone by design.
- Content you post — ratings, reviews, comments, lists and submissions. These are public and shown alongside your username.
- Directory contact details — if you add a directory listing, any email, phone number or social links you enter are published deliberately and only because you chose to include them. Every field is optional, and you can delete your listing at any time, which removes them.
We use no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies and no third-party marketing tools, and we never sell or share your data. The only cookies Ceolaire sets are the essential ones that keep you signed in.
Where your data lives
All data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Dublin, Ireland region) and protected by row-level security: private records such as your email and pending submissions are only readable by you and site moderators.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time — email ceolaire.info@gmail.com and we'll act on it promptly. Deleting your account removes your profile, ratings, reviews, comments, lists and directory listings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated and significant changes will be flagged on the site.
