Grá Dá Raibh

It is great to see that we've reached the stage at which young musicians can tastefully dip into the rich tapestry of Irish traditional music and bring it forth to the world arena with pride and confidence. The Fuchsia Band is the epitome of such an ensemble, who with the excellent sound engineering skills of Tomás Mulcahy, have produced a fine CD for both ears and feet. What's on exhibit here is a varied and soulful mix of tunes, airs, songs and stories. Reels and polkas, featuring Eoin Verling's accordion and Brian Mac Giolla Choda's banjo, are interpreted with the lightness of touch associ-ated with the very best of Sliabh Luachra music.
