We Both Know / September EP We Both Know is the first track from DECAYDS' three-song EP September, alongside Tonight and Travel Safe. The three songs were written and recorded over a six-month period and, although musically very different, are connected by the same underlying story arc. All three were written about, or because of, personal loss. The songs come from different places within grief: love, memory, regret, sadness and the questions that remain when something has happened that cannot be changed or made right. For David, songwriting has become somewhere to put thoughts and emotions that are often difficult to express in ordinary conversation.
