Lapdog are a 3-piece alt/art rock band, mixing elements of 90's alt-rock, post-punk and shoegaze among others, writing songs with driving rhythm, plucky guitar and bittersweet vocals. Inspired by groups like the Pixies, Pillow Queens and the Velvet Underground. We write songs about love and loss, the country & hipsters we don’t like, all with a touch of queer angst. The sound is a mish mash of 90’s alternative guitar music, post-punk changes and desperate screaming or mournfully soft vocals, carried by a driving rhythm section, switching from soft to heavy guitar.
