Charles James & The Rise are a cinematic folk band from Donegal, Ireland. Musically the band is influenced by the darker side of folk and the more haunting elements of choral music.

In 2024 single Carry On was named Hot Press’ Track of the Day upon release and also saw the band named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s (ES) 20 Artists You Should Know.
