Minor Scales (single)

Paul Casey and I have been working together for some years now: hopefully, long enough for us to have learned from each other; I know I've learned from him. One of the greatest lessons he's taught me, although I'm still learning it, is that other people may hear things in your songs that you might not. That can really throw you off, but it's important to give yourself time with new ideas. The shock of a first listen can be unsettling but in time you often hear the merits of a new take. I recorded Minor Scales in 2020 for Maps but something didn't sit right with me and I left it off the album. I didn't think about it much more until recently when it popped into my head and I revisited.
