Blown Cadence

This new record from Villa R is beta pop/wimp rock with an acoutic indie edge, treading a melodic line through tales of loss, realignment and renewal. Blown Cadence is the second album from Villa R after an 8 year gap since the first record - “Songs from the Apex”. Building on strong reviews and a loyal following of friends’ children, this second offering is a three city collaboration (Budapest–Berlin– Dublin), all recorded in Eóin’s place in Budapest. The approach to the record was to bring closeness and warmth to a lo-fi recording and covers a mix of warm acoustic riffs to melodica to cardboard box drums to found sounds.
