Dire Garden of the Ages

The second VERZAUBER album, "Dire Garden of the Ages" reprises the marriage of mythological Black Metal and ambient works established with the project's debut, albeit now permeated with a distinct electronica presence. Delving once more into lucid themes of life, death, and the divine, "Dire Garden of the Ages" hearkens back to the golden age of the nascent Mediterranean, captured through the lens of romanticism, and further manifested through the evocative artwork of Mitchell Nolte. An exaltation of the jewel in the crown of Gaia, the fertile cradle of Western civilization, its blossom and its fruits, its fires and its waters, and the visceral, tellurian essence that binds us to it.
