After the release of MK1 electronica pioneer and mastering genius TWOZINE's second studio album, "Items from a Vending Machine", the artist went into a deep hiatus due to its mixed feedback upon release. Because of this, he knew he needed to make his next album one of his best; and, quite frankly, "$20, 40 808's" IS him at his absolute best. His longest project yet, coming in at fifteen total tracks, TWOZINE moves between themes of light and dark on "$20, 40 808's". Many tracks sample sermons and direct references to Christianity and Scientology; the topic of religion deeply interested and resonated with the artist.
