'Complicity' is the fourth full-length album by Dublin musician/producer Cormac Phelan, and the third under the moniker 'Thirteen'. It's not clear why I'm still doing this, but I am. 'Complicity' is a tight, focused and deeply satisfying execution of the many stylistic hallmarks of Thirteen's output; dark, minor-key moods from earlier slowcore recordings, close-miked and intimate vocal performances, woozy guitar textures, and an overall unapologetic melancholy. These, and many other, characteristic features are brought together in a much more structured, coherent and impactful way than ever before.
