MANTUA

MANTUA is an improvised music project from Elaine Malone (Hex, Land Crabs). This tape was created in collaboration with fiddle player Niamh Dalton (Suantraí, Trá Pháidín). A duet focusing on drone based, real-time composition. The react and respond nature of the compositions carves way for a playful and experimental musical conversation. Malone: Influenced by the occult and environmental decline, symbolism in the forms of Virgin Mary holograms and the decay of nature. Other influences include the work of Jodorowsky, bogs and death. Dalton: Influenced by hypnotic, drone and dream-like melody.
