GAELACTICA

GAELACTICA is the result of 4 years work and was the very first album released on Hyper[borea]’s own STORMTREE label and distributed by GAEL LINN. The tracks have moved on from the ancient musical text and are now all new works in the Irish language. The music ranges across many styles yet it has cohesiveness not often found in world fusion. Searing guitars sit comfortably in a landscape of organic synthetics and treatments, punctuated by complex and extremely tight programmed drums and live global percussion. The Gaelic vocals have a distinctly haunting eastern feel, making one wonder whether INDO-CELT might be a more accurate appellation for this type of crossover.
