Leviathan II: The Artificer is the second release in Stephen Roddy's Leviathan Cycle. Where 2023's Leviathan explored themes of ecological collapse, The Artificer turns its attention to technology, our relationship to it, and the increasingly brutal intentions of those who design and control the machinery that holds our daily lives together. Across an hour of new music Roddy explores the fallout of our reliance on machine artifices designed to ensnare and extract from the masses they render reliant. This is achieved through an endless process of advancing extrication engineered to empower and enrich the artificer by erasing agency and autonomy for both the individual and the community.
