Origins III: The Triple A Golden Maverick / David Van Day Sessions

Freed from the shackles of In Tua Nua and with a highly regarded live EP under their belts (refer to Origins II: The Relax Your Cacks EP), Proto Box were in excelsis. But the band now found themselves at a crossroads for the next album: to return cap in hand to Leslie Dowdall and beg for access to the In Tua studio or to borrow a Tascam 4 track portastudio and try home recording? They chose the latter and, as The Franchise tells it, "There was no feckin shtoppin us". Set up in Unicorn Brosnan's spare room, and with Hot Apple Pie manning the board, 15 tracks were laid down with no less than 7 stunning original compositions from a band that had arrived at the apex of their career.
