By September 1996 Mickey Dazzler had successfully completed his twangman apprenticeship under the tutelage of Hot Apple Pie and had whipped his Short Grass County ass into shape as a fully fledged member of Snackbox. The beefed up Box were ready to take the stage for the first time with a ferocious twin guitar attack. Following a furious bidding war, the Fox and Pheasant (now defunct) on Dublin's Capel Street was selected as the lucky venue to host the debut Box gig. After a few roasters in the downstairs bar the Box boys hit the stage in front of a packed house.
