The album “the defiance of a sadgirl” comes off the back of a tumultuous period in my life, having broken up with my boyfriend, moved country, and separated from my management and label within a relatively short time. The album focuses on a search for self-love and self-acceptance, in an attempt to fall in love with life again. Having felt closed off, and only really living and loving on a superficial level for quite some time, the breakups fuelled a deeper exploration into the way I view myself, and how I choose to exist both as an individual and within my relationships.
