Southbound Placoderm

Southbound Placoderm brings together four tracks from Encrypter that highlight his wide range of creative output over the last few years. Each track began its life as a live recording from an all-hardware rig but have thankfully been edited down from their unacceptably long original versions into more palatable nuggets. Britches harnesses a bass-driven stomp backed by FM twinkles and choral samples that pays homage to old Braindance oddness. Hula Suit Slug is a stripped back and saturated jungle banger filled out with manic arpeggiations and wistful strings.
