Fracture and Fragment

‘Fracture and Fragment’ charts a tumultuous time for the band, leading to the construction of songs encompassing distance, betrayal, anxiety, and the difficulties in maintaining relationships through complex personal and societal times. These themes are reflected in the album title and artwork, which features a fragmented portrait of the band by singer Louise O’Hanlon. The universal themes of love, loss, anger are compounded by the melodious yet thundering basslines, the dynamic drumming and offset by the often playful lead guitar. Together they create a sound which often works to subvert yet compound the emotions in O’Hanlon’s vocal lines and and bright harmonies.
