Take This Hand

There are some things in life that can be both long overdue and not a moment to soon. These two tracks might fit nicely into this description. ‘(pause)’ was written in a time of grief (a feeling I would experience tenfold in the weeks that followed). I had plans to write lyrics for it and develop it into a song with verses and a chorus and all that… But there was a growing inner sense that the message I wanted to share was already contained in the sparse guitar notes, unfolding into a climax of….well I guess it was surrender.
