'Songs For Sooner' is the fourth album from Rory Faithfield, recorded in Ireland with a full band, including Nick Scott (Van Morrison) and Johnny Boyle (The Frames). Featuring a set of life affirming songs that owe as much to Oz rock as they do to Celtic folk. Veteran Australian Journalist Bruce Elder stated, "Faithfield inhabits the same rich musical world as Christy Moore, Luka Bloom and Glen Hansard. His songs are wistful, romantic, deeply felt, beautifully crafted and sung with a voice that pours sincerity and emotion over every line and note”, and that his fourth and latest album is “a sublime, heart-stoppingly beautiful album from a major new Australian folk talent ”.
