"The Yellow House" is the 13th album from Robert Crosbie / Geisha, and in many ways it feels like a return home. Stripped back to guitar, minimal textures, and the occasional orchestral sample, the record deliberately recalls the approach of the debut album "The Sounds of Geisha" - but with the maturity of a musician revisiting their foundations after more than a decade of exploration. The opening track, “Sanguine”, sets the scene with a gentle, burbling backdrop, orchestral samples, and pulsating guitar motifs that shimmer in and out of focus. “Reconcile” follows with a delicate, repeating guitar phase and a soft ticking that quietly marks time.
