The debut album from Robert Crosbie / Geisha presents nine tracks of striking minimalism. Built around pulses, loops, orchestral samples, and resonant basslines—elements that would become hallmarks of the Geisha sound—the record establishes a distinctive musical identity from the outset. Apart from the gently flowing "Intention" and the brief vignette "Drops", the album largely eschews traditional drums or beats. Instead, repetition itself becomes rhythm: recurring chord progressions and layered motifs create a natural ebb and flow, supported by deep, slow-moving bass and looping guitar figures.
