'Hawt Shot' by Replicants follows up the recent 'Organic Synthetic Electronic' EP with a scorching second round of electro jams. The original mixes draw inspiration from an ongoing series that brings old school influences into the present - a bootleg time machine. Five original mixes, each gutted of their a capella frameworks carve out a set of powerful mix weapons that will stack any electro crate with an adequate range of beautifully produced power tools. 'Monotone', 'Fire' and 'It's the Little Things; all feature extended breaks but fill themselves out with chunky, warm, analog layers that uphold some fabulous arrangements.
