INGEN - SYRUP PLATE EP [PROSPEKT001]

Irish techno collective Prospekt launches its first release with a heavy-hitting EP by Scottish-born producer and live artist INGEN. The four-track collection includes two original productions by the man himself, a gnarly mutation from JoeFarr and a chilling remix supplied by Ike Dusk. Staying true to the aesthetic of Prospekt, Ingen has managed to pull off an unforgiving mix of blistering techno for the collective’s first foray into running a record label. ‘Syrup Plate’ mirrors the title of the EP and marks the opening track. Do not expect to be eased in here; it’s a concoction of clattering drums that fall into a menacing breakdown, adding to the bubbling tension throughout the track.
