Limen

Limen is a dark ambient/sound art release with ominous, industrial elements and an overall subdued, muted atmosphere. I wanted Limen to echo the feelings and sensations of receiving dialysis and the effects it had on me physically, cognitively and emotionally. Dialysis effects every facet of ones life. There were times I could barely turn over in bed to switch off the alarm, other times I didn’t want to get off the bus as it would require me to ‘move’. Please refer to individual tracks for more info. Līmen from the Latin, meaning “threshold.” In its literal sense, a threshold is a doorway. Limen almost always refers to some kind of threshold or border between two places or stages.
