Eidola

Eidola deals with navigating and traversing unfamiliar terrain, both socially and emotionally and rising to meet the challenges of uncertainty and change. This release is different for me as I primarily used images and the process of sonification to produce the sound samples. There are only a handful of field recordings used on two tracks. I wanted to let the resulting sounds from the sonification process 'speak' for themselves, so I didn't use huge amounts of effects whilst post-processing/digital editing. I arranged the bulk of these samples and tracks towards the end of 2023 and I only returned to them in March 2024.
