Bennu

The four tracks on Bennu consist of a blend of light, pulsing ambient drones. At times they have an ethereal, otherworldly quality. The field recordings are a combination of urban & natural sounds, taken at various locations around my home and locality. Bennu is a lighter release overall, in mood, sound and themes. It's about cleansing and recharging oneself and ones environment, beginning again with new energy. There is more info in each of the track notes. Bennu: (Egyptian mythology) A self-created Egyptian deity with the form of a bird which was associated with rebirth, creation and the Sun. Related to the verb weben (wbn), meaning "to rise", "rise in brilliance" or "shine".
