After over 10 years of performing together as a duo and as session musicians in a number of projects, December 2020 saw Tara Breen and Pádraig Rynne enter into Malbay studios in the west coast of Ireland to record Nasc. Joining Tara and Pádraig on the album are two long term friends, Dónal Lunny on Bouzouki and Bodhrán and Jim Murray on guitars. Playing a mix of Irish traditional, newly composed and music from other Celtic regions such as Brittany and Asturias, the melodies show a real since of storytelling through their instruments and arrangements. The album was produced and mixed by Pádraig Rynne, recorded by Martin O'Malley and mastered by Sam Proctor.
