'Nick dreads the question ‘What type of music do you play?’ Technical answer: ‘Solo fingerstyle, (steel stringed) acoustic guitar instrumentals’. ‘But what about genre - Folk? Jazz? Blues? Classical?’ Well… not quite; more a harmonious, or occasionally discordant, fusion of them all. With advancing maturity (well – in years anyway), Nick has grown out of the need to prove how many quavers he can cram into a couple of minutes and learned to appreciate the value of musical spaces, giving notes time to ring. This album mostly consists of slower paced, reflective pieces with a couple of short, bouncy tracks to keep you awake.
