Nocturnal_eMissions comes from a fascination with radio noise, which gradually catalysed into a sound project after my discovery of The Conet Project sometime around 2003. A 1997 release of Numbers Station broadcasts, The Conet Project compiles coded transmissions to spies in the field via formatted number sequences, accessible to anyone with a short wave receiver, but decipherable only to the person with the one time pad to crack it. In homage to the spirit of transmission/reception, Nocturnal_eMissions is an invocation to the fusion of inner and outer furtive worlds.
