Babbling Brook

These two recordings are of the Lugduff Brook, a little river that flows into the Upper Lake of Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland. Recorded early in the morning, the pair of microphones were carefully placed to capture the intimate 'babbling' sound of the little river. There is a subtle difference in the sound of the two recordings since they were made separately, the microphones being placed in a different spot to capture a different 'texture', and therefore a subtly different experience for the listener. Babbling Brook 1 was recorded at 5.45am and Babbling Brook 2 at 8.22am.
