Rise

"Rise" is a collection of three improvisational piano based pieces that were first composed in late 2023 & early 2024. The title track "Rise" was inspired by an early morning walk on a super crisp December morning. As I left my house and looked across the park the sun was rising and a mist was carpeting the grass as the sun thawed frost that had fallen over night. I took a photo as there was something magical about the stillness in the air & how the sun cast shadows of the leafless winter trees across the frosted green.
