gypsy mayfly to Django(Reinhardt) is an exploration of gypsy jazz, new orleans and 1950s songs and also in the future of balkanic tunes. Alain Halimi, using hand gestures, shapes the tunes and arranges them in real time while playing with his ensemble to keep it fresh and according to the musicians propositions. It is mainly improvised, sometimes respecting the classic structure AABA of a gypsy jazz tunes and sometimes more loose if it seems appropriate... Please visit our Facebook pages for more content.
