Gitanjali

"From full-bodied Eurodance beats to chilled Triphop vibes, featuring sweeping orchestras, spicy percussion and some of the best vocal talents from India and beyond, Gitanjali is a unique Ethno Electronica journey from Bollywood to Bengal as imagined by composer and producer Matt Adcock." Gitanjali is a project I started working on in December 2015. Inspired by some of the best Ethno-Electronica albums of the last 20 years and the works of Claus Zundel (Sacred Spirit), Michael Cretu (Enigma), Asian Dub Foundation and Deep Forest, I envisaged a musical journey from Mumbai to The Punjab and Bengal. The vocal samples are all taken from these regions, fusing Hindi melodies with English vocals.
