Mart make punk for people who don’t believe politicians or wellness podcasts. This album was written by people who grew up being told that comfort was a birth-right, while watching entire places quietly rot. It’s about the west of Ireland, about names that carry expectations, about hope being encouraged without escape ever being offered. Songs like Cursed Land aren’t nostalgia or misery — they’re observation. You’re told to believe, to try harder, to stay tame, to take the blame. You do. And somehow, you’re treated just the same. We didn’t make this record to fix anything. We made it because therapy is expensive and punk is loud.
