GAN FOCAL

GAN FOCAL (Irish for Wordless) is an album of instrumental tunes by Cork composer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Wilkins. 'Many of these pieces were written back in the Noughties and have recently been dusted down and remastered. The music is a crucible of musical styles I've been drawn to at different stages; roots, Irish,ambient,jazz, contemporary,rock, Middle-Eastern and folk. The musicians who aided and abetted me are amongst the finest I've had the good fortune to play with over the years. We also had a lot of fun. Hope you like the tunes.'
