Songs Vienna

In October 2013 I visited the Casino Baumgarten in Vienna, Austria with Grainne Hunt and Mark Penny. Not only a beautiful building but hidden inside was one of the world's last classic recording studios with vintage tube technology. The studio was set up in 1965 with the finest technology available at the time. The control room is a time capsule and still in its original condition from the second half of that decade — down to the tiniest of details, like the old telephones. Mark Penny plays an impressive and rare Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano. We recorded 14 tracks. Walked into this old studio and took a breath, 10 hours later we closed the door.
