In my early thirties I started making music without any real ability to play music. I couldn’t play any instruments and wasn’t even very confident that I could sing in any way decently. Instead I just had such a love of music and the production of great albums that I just wanted to get involved. On the first album tunes were pieced together by recording a new track for each note, eventually building up melodies and harmonies. Although I’ve since managed to learn a few chords on the guitar I still hold that love of sampling instruments as much as playing them. I’m perhaps more widely known for my scriptwriting, improvising and video production. But making music is a great stream of creation.
