Beta

Beta is an album of ambient music. Each track on the album was played as a live session with hardware synthesizers, a mixer and hardware effects. The output of the mixer was recorded to 1 stereo track in Logic Pro. No edits, overdubs, or effects were applied after the recording of each session, just some light mastering. Tracks 1-3 were played on just 1 synthesizer. On tracks 4-7, the part for each synthesizer was played and sequenced live with the Arturia Keystep Pro. Tracks 3-6 were improvised. On tracks 4-6, I introduced elements of chance on the sequencer after playing each part. All tracks were played in free rhythm (no beat/metronome was used).
