Madagoan

'Madagoan' is the product of a collaboration in Goa, India, that took place over three weeks between the traditional Irish band Madagán and the Goan singer Divya Naik and her percussionists. The idea of the project was to take songs and melodies from both traditions and interweave them to develop new approaches and interpretations. In some of the pieces this involved the composition of new riffs, and lyrics in English, Irish and Konkani.
