Inis Ealga Inis Fáil

Emerging out of the traditions of unacompanied singing, scéalaíocht and aisling poetry, June 21st 2024 marks the release of 'Inis Ealga Inis Fáil', the first EP from new Cork City based band 'MacBóchra'. The EP contains three songs written and performed by founding member Brendan Duffin. Unaccompanied ballad singing has always played a part in family gatherings at his parents and relatives homes. When he began composing music and lyrics in 2006 it was perhaps inevitable that he would continue, in his own way, this custom.
