Studies for Piano & Cosmos

A collection of 9 ambient pieces, quietly cinematic & ambient. A recently acquired Soma Cosmos inspired the creation of these drifting meditative pieces. No tempo & time signatures for a looser, more flowing approach to composition. Improvising loosely on the piano, while playing through the Cosmos, inspired taking the simple chords & melodies, and let them build and grow over time. Subtle string arrangements were added after post-recording, sitting under the piano lines as gentle accompaniment. Performed on a Korg SV-1, processed through Soma Cosmos, with warm & dusty strings from Slate & Ash's Landform Elements.
