Micks Tape

I remember the day Ciaran ( CF Meister) called me telling me about the Death Grips album Ex Military. It was so god damn raw I loved it instantly. He proposed working on a mix tape using this as an inspirational jumping off point. In the end it turned out to be quite different but Death Grips was the spark that started the Mick E. fire. A fire that was fueled with drugs and alcohol. Most of the beats were produced and lyrics written in a week keeping things rough around the edges. I remember we recorded most of it in one day in Ciaran's garden shed. Train sounds going buy, sirens, dogs barking and roosters. Listen close and you may hear just some of these things.
