If You're So Good, Then Why Haven't I Heard Of You?

The new album by Laurie "The King Of The Record" Shaw. The record is quite large and quite dense and features a number of songs one might bung into the "singer-songwriter" camp. Which is sometimes a bit of a mank camp. But hopefully the songs on display ooze with enough weird instrumentation and strange, time-displaced melodies. The record is made of brass and it smells like it too. It is a greasy record and it is pre-environmental awareness. Horns (or are they effected Kazoos?) honk and wonk as our narrator reads from secret government dossiers concerning the history of popular music (like when they pumped Hormone X into the water to kickstart the teen market FACT).
