HELP

HELP is the fifth album by Laurie Shaw's alliterate side project FELTED FRUIT. Where Felted Fruit IV offered sweeping drives through 60's small town America, HELP decamps to an imagined approximation of an L.A.-adjacent BIG SMOKE, complete with a sculptural collage of New Cork City's architectural features. Shot on 35mm black and white film, HELP sees F. Fruit in a series of vignettes and playing multiple roles. They're a chauffeur, they're a booted careerist, they're a jealous neighbour from your teenage days in the countryside, they're a mourning father.
