Dinosaurs With Horns

Rick Potts and Joseph Hammer met at a Halloween party in 1982. At the time, Joseph was making tape loops and recording with Points of Friction, while Rick already had many years of freakdom service under his belt with the LAFMS. They began collaborating on new recordings, with Joseph providing loops and Rick playing an Optigan borrowed from Joseph. The Optigan, made by a toy manufacturer for home use, is a primitive 1970s sampler that plays prerecorded discs ranging from exotica, pipe organ and circus band to country, folk and cheesy rock combo.
