Eclipse

Eclipse” is the debut EP from KAR, a 23 year old singer songwriter from Cork, Ireland. Written and released over the course of two years during her time studying at MTU Cork School of Music, “Eclipse” serves as a time capsule of early adulthood - capturing the confusion, heartbreak, joy and endless transformative experiences that come with your early 20s. The title captures the contrast that runs through the EP: light and dark, joy and sadness, endings and new beginnings. Rooted in dreamy synth-pop and sharp lyricism, the tracks reflect on themes of identity, coming of age in the 2020s and the surreal superficiality of the digital age.
