Kanako Machida and Brian McGrathThis is the debut release from Kanako and Brian. It was recorded for their first tour in Japan in 2017 and was a limited release. Due to unprecedented demand, it is available in digital format only... Kanako comes from the southwest area of Japan. From there, she found a path to Ireland and traditional Irish music. When she first came to Ireland a decade ago, Kanako was heavily influenced by accordion music that she heard in the various sessions around Galway city, and began learning the button accordion on her own. She now resides in Co. Galway with her family, and can be seen in the vibrant session scene in and around the Galway city area. Brian McGrath comes from Brookeborough, Co.
