Nearest & Dearest, Return Of The Snakes is here, and I wanted to take a minute to acknowledge what it is to me. I’ve been making music since I was a boy - a fun pastime to have to keep the mind ticking over. Nothing serious, nothing sacred. I have never really strived for perfection or promotion - whether 2 or 200 people hear it, the goal is always the same; create something I enjoy. There was a definite shift in the writing process with this album. Lyrics are a strange thing to me, personal and shared. In the past I’ve been guilty of writing without really pushing, leaning or pulling in any direction.
